Onam Celebration and Ethnic Day were held on 31 st August at St. Aloysious PU College, Harihar

Rev. Fr. Eric Mathias SJ, the director of the college, Fr. Vinod AJ SJ, the director of the men's hostel, Fr. Avinash Lobo, the finance officer, Mrs. Pushpalatha Urs, the principal, Mr. Mouseen Ulla, Vice principal of Arts and Commerce, and Mr. Pascal Fernandes, Vice principal of the Science department, were all present to support and encourage the students and staff.

One of the highlights of the event was the "cooking without fire" competition, in which all the students of St. Aloysious participated under the guidance of their class guides. The program was efficiently coordinated by Fr. Avinash Lobo SJ and Mr. Jose Antony, who dedicated their efforts to its success. Traditional Kerala dance added to the vibrant celebration.

The event commenced with an inter-religious prayer conducted by the students during the assembly. Following that, Gurunath, a student from the 2nd science class, and Sr. Rose James from the English department shared the significance of Onam, providing valuable insights into its meaning and importance. The students also delivered a delightful performance of a song related to Onam.

Later, a ramp walk was organized, with each class represented by its coordinators. Selected students, one boy and one girl from each class, participated in the ramp walk. Ultimately, Mr. Muhammed Furquan from the 2nd science class and Miss Musqan from the 2nd Commerce class were crowned as Mr. and Miss Aloysious, respectively. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
