Gandhi-Shastri Jayanthi Celebration

The 153rd Gandhi Jayanthi and 118th Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti
was celebrated with much fanfare at St. Aloysius Pre University College
Harihar. The program started with an interreligious prayer followed by a
floral tribute to Gandhi-Shastri's portrait. Mr. Srinivas Prasad, the social
science and English subject expert from St Joseph Indian High School,
Bangalore, who was the chief guest of the program, spoke on Mahatma
Gandhi as role model for everyone. Ms. Bushra, on behalf of the
students, spoke about the significance of the day.
The Yuvajyothi camp resource persons like Mr. Rafeeq, Mrs. Hilda
Pinto, Mr. Sharif K Syed, College superior Fr. Eric Mathias SJ, Finance
Officer Fr. Vinod SJ, Principal Mr. Sunny Gudinho, Vice Principals Mr.
Mousin Ulla and Mrs. Pushpalatha Urs, Program Coordinator Mr.
Manjunath TS, all the lecturers, youth campers and the college students
were present on the occasion. Ms. Alisha presented the program and
welcomed the guests. Ms. Nirmala proposed the vote of Thanks.
