St Aloysius Gonzaga (1568-1591)
St Aloysius Gonzaga, the Patron of world youth, is the Patron of the college and model to our students. Son of an Italian nobleman, Aloysius renounced his inheritance and became a Jesuit at the age of seventeen.
When a plague hit Rome in 1591, he actively cared for the sick. Aloysius developed the symptoms of the plague and died soon after on June 21,
1591 at the age of 23. His purity of life, self-discipline and concern for others, are held up for emulation, to the students of this college.
