Report on Death anniversary of Fr. Stan Swamy

"A Cage bird can still sing" says a famous Jesuit priest, A human Right activist, a right hand of adivasi people Fr Stan Swamy. He had not only worked for the poor and underprivileged, he stood by them and that showed moral clarity and courage. His life is a parable for future generations. The death anniversary of this great sage was celebrated by paying a grand floral tribute to his portrait,here at St. Aloysius Pre University College Harihar on 05 th July 2023. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp at the hands of Rev. Fr..Eric Mathias SJ , the director of the college, Rev. Fr. Avinash Lobo SJ , the Finance officer, Rev. Fr. Vinod AJ SJ , the director of gents Hostel, and vice principals also lit the lamp.

It was an ostentatious event to all of us .The event was compered by Sangeeta of 2 PUC Science. An unceremonious welcome and preface in short was given by Joel Joseph , 2nd PUC Science. The program started with a short interreligious prayer by the students, made to sense the presence of God amidst us.Rev. Fr.Eric Mathias SJ threw-in some implausible viewpoints on Rev.Fr. Stan Swamy SJ.The gathering commended with the applause while Singing a song which was composed by Mumbai Jesuits for Fr. Stan Swamy SJ.

In this simple and beautiful program . Rev.Fr.Eric Mathias SJ the director of the college , Rev.Fr. Avinash Lobo SJ , the finance officer, Rev.Fr. Vinod AJ SJ the director of Gents hostel, Mrs. Pushpa Latha Urs the Principal of the college, Vice Principals Mr. Pascal Fernandes and Mr. Mousin Ulla, Program Coordinator Ms. Jyothy Gupta , and All the lecturers and students were present.

The program come to an end with the State Anthem.
