The Gandhi Jayanti celebration at St. Aloysius PU College Harihar on 2 nd October 2023
The Gandhi Jayanti celebration was a solemn and inspiring event held in the Stan Swamy Auditorium from 9:15 am to 10:30 am. Guided by Sr. Rose, the program featured Russell (II CET) as the MC under the guidance of Ms. Sushmitha.
The event commenced with a meaningful interreligious prayer and a welcome speech by Janhavi (I CET), followed by staff paying respects to Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Cesily (I CET) explained the significance of the day in English, and Tejaswini (I non CET) conveyed the message in Kannada.
Bhajans were presented by Riza, Suzan, and their teams, guided by Mr. Nagesh and Mr. Sunny.
Fr. Vinod AJ SJ delivered a thought-provoking presidential speech, emphasizing "speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil." A video on Gandhi's life provided insights into his principles. Ahammad Raza, a student from 2nd science, expressed gratitude in the Vote of Thanks, guided by Ms. Sushmitha. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem at 10:30 am.
