World Environment Day

A report on World Environmental Day Celebration at St Aloysius Colege, Harihar 05.06.2023

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness and encourage positive environmental action to protect nature and planet Earth. It serves as a reminder for everyone to engage in environmentally friendly activities.

Today, the college assembly began as usual at 8:50 am. The college-level World Environment Day event was organized on 5th June 2023 by Fr. Vinod AJ SJ. The event commenced with the inauguration by the 1st and 2nd P.U. students, who planted a sapling in a flower pot. Father Vinod addressed the students, delivering a beautiful message on Environment Day. The principal, Mrs. Pushpalatha Urs, Mr. Pascal Fernandes, the vice-principal of the Science Department, Mr. Moseen Ulla, the vice-principal of the Commerce and Arts Department, and Miss Jyothy Gupta, the cultural coordinator, were also present.

Following the speeches by the students, the official ceremony concluded at 9:15 am.
